Our Main Campus is set on a beautiful green space in Horsforth, a town located six miles north-west of Leeds city centre and two miles from Leeds Bradford Airport.

Our Main Campus is well-connected - Horsforth station is a 20-minute walk away or a short ride on our shuttle bus.

By car

Our Main Campus car park is pay and display on weekdays from 8:30am to 4:30pm - you can pay by cash, card or by using the RingGo app. Disabled parking is available near the main entrance.

Car parking is limited on campus and we cannot guarantee parking spaces for everyone who wants one.

By train

Our Main Campus is conveniently located, only a short walk or bus ride from Horsforth station.

The station sits on the York to Leeds line, with up to three services an hour in each direction. The journey from Leeds to Horsforth takes less than 15 minutes, from Harrogate it's about 35 minutes and around one hour 15 minutes from York.

Travelling to and from Horsforth Station

You can walk from Horsforth Station to campus in around 20 minutes or during term time, you can use our free wheelchair-accessible shuttle bus.

Shuttle bus service times are coordinated with train arrivals and departures and run up to every 15 minutes during the morning and afternoon peak periods and takes less than five minutes to get to campus, there’s no need for a ticket or pass, just get on board.

By bus

The number 27 bus, operated by First, runs half hourly during the day in each direction and stops outside the main entrance on Brownberrie Lane. Service 27 connects Yeadon, Guiseley and Horsforth with Leeds city centre (including Albion Street and the bus station).

There are also a number of services that connect the city centre with Horsforth. You can catch services 50/50A, 9/9c, 31 or 6, which stop at, or near, Horsforth Railway Station, before using the free University shuttle bus to complete your journey

By bike

There is bicycle parking on campus for visitors, as well as secure storage lockers available to lease, and an access-controlled secure storage facility.

There are showers and changing rooms in the Sports Centre that can be used free of charge for people cycling to the University, as well as lockers.

By plane

Main Campus is only two miles from Leeds Bradford International Airport, around a five-minute trip by car or taxi.
